Through the Status dropdown in the prompt/trend editor, admins may archive or hide a prompt or trend.

Individual stories may also be archived.

Archived Prompts/Trends

The "Archived" status is designed to help admins manage and clean up their content on the platform.

Archiving a standalone prompt or trend essentially saves it -- and its stories -- for later. The "Archived" status:

  • removes the prompt/trend from the Home page so users cannot add stories to it

  • removes and archives any related stories published to the Culture Page and carousels

  • can be applied during the creation phase of a prompt/trend or during the edit phase when it is existing

  • can be reversed later to reactivate a prompt/trend and its stories

  • can be applied to an individual story in the Admin Review area

  • will move the prompt/trend to the bottom of the Admin Prompts tab, and add an "Archived" label on it

Hidden Prompts/Trends

The "Hidden" status is designed to help leaders on both the branding and internal comms teams.

This setting is used to create prompts/trends that are only visible to certain people, and to hide stories that come in from everyone but admins.

Hidden prompts/trends must be shared with users (via URLs) in order for them to see these pages.

Once stories are submitted, they are not immediately visible to other users on these pages, nor are they shown in the feed on the Home page. Only admins will see the submitted stories through the Admin portal.

When kept in the Pending Review column, submitted stories will remain invisible to other users. They will also be invisible when in the Archived column. However, they will become visible to users on the prompt/trend URL if they are moved to the Approved or Internal Only columns. This will be helpful if the desire is for users to see others users' stories for context as they create their own.

Hidden prompts/trends may be designated during creation mode or during the editing mode.

If an Active trend is edited and set to Hidden, its prompts become Hidden and any stories are put in the Archived column of the Admin Review page. The stories will thus be removed from the external areas of the Culture Page and carousels, but may be moved to the other columns manually.

If a Hidden trend is set to Active, its prompts will remain Hidden until each is manually set to Active.
